Town Hall - Great Hall

The town hall enjoys a central location on Fischmarkt, one of the finest squares in Erfurt. Built between 1870 and 1874, the neo-Gothic building accommodates the administrative offices of the local government, but also doubles as a tourist attraction and a venue for concerts, lectures, receptions and weddings. The staircases and the great hall are decorated with a series of highly regarded wall paintings, which depict myths and legends, and historical scenes from Erfurt and the wider region. The banqueting hall is a special venue with a charming ambience for an exceptional event.
