Thuringia Hall - Unusual and unique venues - Erfurt Tourismus

Thuringia Hall

Opened in 1939, the Thüringenhalle serves Erfurt as a venue for cultural and sporting events, exhibitions, conferences, concerts, corporate functions and much more besides.

The hall is easily distinguished by its saddleback/partial hip roof whose self-supporting, three-hinged girders allow a span of 40 metres and a height of 25 metres. But organisers of sports and cultural events
rate the Thüringenhalle for more than just its size.

Other benefits include its location in the south of Erfurt with easy access to local train services and the autobahn, the private car park, excellent acoustics and the high level of functionality despite its age.
