Theatre at the Palais

Since the end of June 2023, there has no longer been a permanent theater in Erfurt. Instead, performances will take place at changing venues in the city and the surrounding area - from historic halls to modern event venues. The former location at Michaelisstraße 30 is no longer in operation; the theater's main address is now the Hoftheater in Niederzimmern (Auf dem Zieche 5, 99428 Grammetal, OT Niederzimmern).

Despite the lack of permanent premises, Erfurt remains a central venue for a wide variety of productions. The flexible concept makes it possible to bring theater to a wide variety of locations and thus reach a broad audience. Whether classical plays, modern productions or guest performances - the theater remains lively and on the move, always on the lookout for new stages that enrich Erfurt and its surroundings.
