Erfurter Ring and inner city ring road

The B4 motorway between Hamburg and Bamberg and the B7 between Kassel and Gera are also in the immediate vicinity of the state capital. Together with the two motorways, they form the so-called Erfurt ring road. With 12 junctions, this offers an optimal connection to the trunk road network as well as sufficient exit options to reach the city centre.

In the city centre, the Juri-Gagarin Ring collects and distributes city traffic. The ring road ensures a traffic-calmed city centre and thus a high quality of life in Erfurt's historic old town.

There are numerous car parks along both the ring road and the Juri Gagarin Ring. At the edge of the city centre, you will be greeted by a parking guidance system with an up-to-date overview of available parking spaces, which will direct you to one of Erfurt's multi-storey car parks as quickly as possible.

Parking in Erfurt

If you want to avoid the city traffic and/or explore the city on foot, we recommend using one of the free P+R car parks on the outskirts of the city or along the inner ring road. Of course, you can get to the historic city centre quickly and easily by public transport from all P+R car parks.

If you prefer one of the car parks in the city centre, the modern parking guidance system will help you to find a free parking space quickly and reliably. The car park guidance system shows you the current occupancy status and at the same time shows you the way.
