Arrival by train

Thanks to the good connection to the German railway network, you can reach Erfurt quickly and easily with all long-distance and local trains.

Erfurt's main railway station is very centrally located within the city, meaning that the historic old town with its numerous sights, restaurants & cafés and shopping facilities is just a few minutes' walk away. There is a direct connection to the city's public transport network at the main railway station. The tram stops are located in the passage below the railway tracks, and the central bus station can be reached on foot via Willy Brandt Platz in approx. 1 minute. The station building houses the railway information centre, various shops as well as multiple gastronomic establishments. A barrier-free toilet and lockers for your luggage are also available in the building.
