Thuringian Forest

The Thuringian Forest is one of the most densely forested landscapes in Germany. Its 168 km long Rennsteig trail and many other well-signposted hiking trails beckon to an active and energetic recreation activity. The Thuringian Forest is popular mainly as a hiking, cycling and skiing location. However, it is also worthwhile to visit e.g. the glassworks factory in Lauscha or the toy museum in Sonneberg.
