The Dendrological Garden, created between 1959 and1961 for research purposes, is located between Luisenpark, Steigerwald forest and egapark. The City of Erfurt passed a decree in 1959 stating that the rosaceae (rose family) should be displayed in the garden, and the garden's roses can still be admired today. The park's cherry blossom trees are also indigenous - and with its reconstructed terraces, this is the perfect place to unwind.
