Botanic-Dendrological Garden Erfurt
Situated between Luisenpark, Steigerwald and egapark, the garden was laid out between 1959 and 1961 for educational purposes. A resolution passed by the City of Erfurt in 1959 stipulated that the Rosaceae family of plants should be featured in the garden. This can still be admired today. Ornamental cherry trees are also native to the park. With its reconstructed seating terraces, this historic garden offers plenty of opportunities to relax and linger. The botanical and dendrological garden is situated to the south, below egapark, and can be reached by bus route 51 – Cyriakstraße stop –, tram route 6 – Steigerstraße terminus – and tram routes 2 and 4 – Gothaer Platz stop.
