Medieval Mikveh

Medieval Mikveh

The Old Synagogue features a medieval mikveh, a type of Jewish ritual bath. This was unearthed during excavation works in 2007. You can view the ancient mikveh bath at any time through a window in the top of the shelter, or for a closer look, you must join one of the guided tours. Groups can book guided tours 'on the trail of Jewish history'.
