German Horticultural Museum

An entire museum dedicated to horticulture—that’s unique in Germany. The building and location of the German Horticultural Museum are also unique: a fortress complex in the heart of egapark, a 36-hectare paradise of gardens, plants, and recreation. Situated on one of the city’s two hills. But horticulture deserves it! For thousands of years, humans have succeeded in securing their food supply and producing a wide variety of products through the wise use of plants and soil. The museum’s exhibitions and workshops offer insights into the secrets of the world of gardens and plants. For registered school classes and visitor groups, the museum is also open outside of regular hours as part of a project event or guided tour.
