Riethsporthalle
The Riethsporthalle is located in the north of Erfurt, not far from the stop of streetcar lines 1 and 6. In the immediate vicinity are other sports facilities, such as the cycling track, the sports field facility Am Nordpark and the sports field facility Essener Straße with a new multifunctional building inaugurated in 2021.
The Riethsporthalle itself, was completed in October 2011 and thus belongs to the Sports Center North. The sports usable hall area amounts to a total of more than 2,000 m². The main sports area is a 45 m x 31 m playing field (sports area 1395 m²). There is space for up to 1,500 spectators (of which about 250 are optional). In addition, the hall has 3 other secondary sports rooms (gymnastics/ballet, athletics/strength room, apparatus gymnastics). Furthermore, there is a billiard room of approx. 120 m² and a 4-lane bowling alley (classic bowling) suitable for the German national league with a fully graphics-capable scoreboard (3.20m x 1.92m) in the basement.
