Erfurt Theatre
The new theatre in Erfurt is a modern building set between the 700 year-old St. Mary’s Cathedral, the Church of St. Severus and the impressive baroque fortress of the Petersberg Citadel. It offers an extensive programme of opera, operettas, concerts, dance theatre and plays on approx. 350 evenings throughout the year in the large hall (Grosser Saal) which seats 800 and the studio theatre which seats 200.
Erfurt Theatre is Europe’s first theatre to be built in the new millenium.
